Nice concept, poor execution. The major problem is that the lighter just isn't refillable. At all. With or without the bottom plate on. With or without any of the available refiller tips.
The hinge placement isn't quite right, the lighter flame appears over the back of the bowl instead of the middle. Leaves you with unlightable herb in the front of the bowl.
The stash container seems pretty useless.

My first WickiePipe Lighter stopped working, happens to the best of products. Wickiepipe offers to fix it free. They sent it back to me. Something in the return shipping, I don't know, still doesn't work. They offer to fix it or send a new one at discount because of my shipping costs. Thats one way. Second, this thing is the coolest smoking all-in-one gadget there is. Three of my friends got theirs after smoking from or seeing mine. I'd recommend a Dime Bag or simular to keep odor contained. I really can't see you being disappointed in any way with this self lighting pipe, come on it's sliced bread! And my problems I'm sure are very rare and wickiePipe Customer Service is unbeleivable.

This pipe has a great design at least in theory. The bowl is deceivingly big. The stash holds enough for a couple of refills. It is super convenient to be able to have a puff and then just throw the thing back in your pocket. That being said... the lighter only lasted around a month and a half which leaves the whole system pretty useless. At first, the lighter functions perfectly... pull this pipe out at a party and watch peoples' minds get blown. But eventually the lighter started malfunctioning. I refilled the gas which didn't help. It progressively got worse until it would be ~12 button presses before the thing would light which meant that instead of being able to pull this thing out and put it back in your pocket before anyone was the wiser, you can either use an external lighter or sit there clicking the thing and draw attention to yourself. It has gone from being the ninja-pipe to being a "Hey! Look at what I'm doing and how I'm failing at it!" pipe. It's really disappointing.

I love the form and function, but the execution falls short. Lighter stopped working after about 60 days and didn't work when I refilled it. I'm actually on my 2nd one because on the 1st the stem melted (so I'm inhaling plastic?) and fell out. Customer service was awesome - free replacement, shipping paid. But now neither one works. It's too fragile. If it were non-plastic and the refill would work, I'd pay more.
